Brook Crompton Three Phase Motor

Brook Crompton WE3 & WE4 Motor Range

The Brook Crompton WE3 and WE4 series are modern three-phase AC induction motors designed to deliver efficiency, reliability, and long-term performance across a wide range of industrial applications.

Shared Frame Sizes & Construction

Both series share the same IEC frame sizes, available in aluminium or cast-iron depending on the application. Aluminium frames are offered from 63M to 160L, while cast iron extends right up to 355. This alignment ensures the motors match typical kW outputs across different pole configurations, making them easy to integrate into existing systems.

Efficiency & Compliance

Energy efficiency is at the heart of the WE3 and WE4 range. WE3 motors meet IE3 (premium efficiency) standards, while WE4 motors go further, achieving IE4 (super-premium efficiency). Both help businesses meet regulatory requirements and support sustainability targets by lowering energy consumption over the motor’s lifetime.

Voltage & Frequency Flexibility

The series is designed to cover common European voltage requirements. For motors up to 3 kW, operation is available at 230/400 V, with 400/690 V supplied for 4 kW and above. All models are suitable for both 50 Hz and 60 Hz supply frequencies, offering flexibility across global installations.

Expertise in Design

The WE3 and WE4 series are the result of a collaboration between Brook Crompton, ATB, and Wolong. By combining decades of engineering expertise, the range delivers motors that balance performance, low noise, and reduced vibration with the efficiency and robustness required in modern industry.

Built for Demanding Environments

These motors are engineered for durability in challenging conditions. Standard features include:

  • IP55 protection against dust and water ingress
  • Metal fan covers for added toughness
  • Thermal protection as a built-in safeguard
  • SKF bearings for long-lasting reliability
  • Inverter-duty rating, ensuring compatibility with variable frequency drives (VFDs)
